The school first opened in 1973 in a red-bricked, semi-detached house, on the Somerton Road with 78 children. Due to an expanding parish population it became evident the a new purpose built school was required and in 1988, the current main school building was opened. This bright, modern building had 14 classrooms, a library, school assembly hall, staffroom and canteen as well as 2 specially dedicated Special Needs rooms. There is also a lift in the school.
In 2009, Bishop Noel Treanor officially opened an extension to the school which had three state of the art classrooms, a medical room, self-contained cloakroom areas and 2 walk-through storage areas.
Do you have any old pictures of the school on Somerton Road? We would love to see them.
