After reading a shared text called ‘The Air Raid’ the children began to explore what it would have been like to have been caught in an air raid. They thought about the best ways to escape and how they should behave and control their emotions.
As a class they expressed the noises that they might have heard and performed an air raid noise circle.
In groups they were then given a role e.g nurse, teacher, builder and had to discuss why they should be given a space in the air raid shelter.
