The children have been practically exploring many aspects within number. They have used abaci, dice, digit cards and whiteboards to develop the concepts of number, for example place values, expansion, odd and even numbers, greater than and less than and ordering numbers.
They also studied months, dates and events in a calendar year and how to read and use a calendar.
