After a few delays due to weather and unforeseen circumstances, the boys of Primary 7 finally got to complete their first round tie in the U11 cup.
Playing our local neighbours Seaview PS, the game took place at Seaview (Crusaders FC) on Wednesday 4th October.
In a competitive first half, the boys went into half time 1-0 down after a fantastic goal scored against the run of play. A quick reset and chat at half-time saw the boys come out in the second half playing against a strong wind and put in a commanding performance. A quick equaliser was followed by a second goal. The boys managed to hang on following some strong Seaview pressure to secure to the win.
The standout performance of the day came from the Seaview goalkeeper who managed to pull of a string of fine saves to deny St Therese from the chances they created.
A big thank you to Mr McManus from Seaview PS for organising the game and to Mr Murray for refereeing and running it on the day.
The boys will now play St Pauls (Mica Drive) in the next round.
Well done to all of the children who took part on both teams.
